Hi everyone! I’m Sophia Nicole Tapinit Ibañez and I’d love to share a very special moment in my life, becoming one of the newly elected scholars of the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship, Inc.
The day I received my certificate from Ma’am Cassey, I couldn’t stop smiling. It was such a surreal feeling knowing that I am now officially part of this scholarship program. I felt so blessed because, for me, this isn’t just a piece of paper. It is a door opening to hope, opportunity and a brighter future.
Growing up in a family struggling with financial instability has never been easy. There were times when I worried too much, thinking, what if my parents can’t send me to college? What if my dreams stop here? Since I’m not the only one studying
and my siblings are also in school, the expenses are really heavy for my parents, who don’t have stable jobs. Honestly, the fear of not being able to continue my studies always haunted me.
But God works in mysterious ways. One simple afternoon, when I went to visit Nanay Linda, she mentioned a scholarship handled by Ma’am Cassey. That moment felt like a spark of hope. I immediately asked how I could apply, and 2 Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship, Inc. through Tita Jonalyn’s guidance and Nanay Linda’s recommendation, I was blessed to become a scholar. Sadly, Nanay Linda has already passed away, but I will forever be grateful to her. If not for her encouragement, I wouldn’t be here today. I carry her memory with me and I will never forget her kindness.
This scholarship means so much more than financial support. For me, it is an answered prayer. It is a chance to continue my studies, to chase my aspirations, and to build a future where I can finally give back to my parents and to others.
I want to take this moment to thank all the officials, benefactors and everyone behind the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship, Inc. program. Your generosity is life-changing. You are not only helping students like me to study, you are giving us hope, faith and the courage to dream big!
As for me, I promise to do my best, to strive harder and to use this blessing as my inspiration to move forward. Someday, I hope I can also extend the same kindness and open doors for others, just like you did for me.
Truly, God is so good all the time!
