Grace and Gratitude: The Scholarship That Gave Me Hope

Oct 22, 2025 | Scholar Student, Scholarship

I’m Jhoven Pasculado, and at 19 years old, this is something really close to my heart, and I hope it touches you too. I’m currently studying Bachelor of Science and Criminology at the State University of Northern Negros, Escalante Branch, Negros Occidental, Philippines.  This scholarship has truly changed everything for me!

‎I still remember the joy and relief when I found out I got the scholarship. It’s hard to explain how much it means. Growing up, my family struggled a lot financially and I  often worried about whether I could even continue studying. This scholarship has given me so much hope and the belief that a brighter future is possible!

‎I’m incredibly grateful to Ma’am Ivy Anguillano, who recommended me to this scholarship and to Ma’am Cassey Mahinay, who manages the scholarship program, for her constant guidance and support.   I also want to thank the Rudy & Fe Romanillos Scholarship, Inc. (NGO) from the bottom of my heart for their amazing generosity. This scholarship isn’t just about the money – it’s an answered prayer, a lifeline that’s allowing me to chase my dreams, follow my passions and give back to my community and loved ones.  I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this life-changing opportunity.

‎Truly, God is so good all the time! It’s a reminder that even when things are tough, there’s always light and hope!
