Challenges as a scholar student

One last step before embarking on another adventure. I’ve spent my entire 2nd Term dealing with knots, silent battles, and testing myself to see if I can make it to the next adventure. I’ve been so exhausted but
I’m enduring the agony and everything else that suffocates me from the things that compel me to achieve my goals. I had a lot of restless nights but I’m glad I made it. One more term to go and I believe this is one of the most difficult aspects of being a college student. But, because of the fiery desire that has been implanted in me, I am capable of overcoming this obstacle.

All of these achievements will not be made possible without God who strengthen me and most especially the financial assistance I  received from The RUDY and FE Romanillos Scholarship. This scholarship has provided my needs for food, uniform, dormitory, and other school-related financial needs. I could ask for nothing more because of the provisions under the scholarship which allowed me to focus on my studies. We are lucky to avail of this scholarship because students like me who come from underprivileged families are sometimes left behind because of poverty. The scholarship gave me a way to gain leverage and succeed.

In addition, the moment I became one of the scholars, I made a promise to myself that I will do my best and strive hard so that all the support I received will not be wasted.
I would like to extend my gratitude to Riza & Jonathan Taylor and the entire Romanillos family from the bottom of my heart for giving me this opportunity and having faith in my abilities. It means a lot to me, feel blessed to be able to study and I know that my academic demands, sometimes clash with my work
schedule. I am grateful that you always understood the importance of my education and allowed me to pursue it.

To Nanay Fe, I remember the times when I was worried about how I would be able to balance my work and academic schedules but you always assured me that everything would work out. Your encouraging words motivated me to keep going and I am so grateful for that. I feel incredibly fortunate to have a mentor who is not only supportive but also caring and empathetic. Your kind and thoughtful nature is
something I look up to and is a source of inspiration for me.

My journey began with a desire to further my education when I was in high school but I knew that the cost of tuition would be a significant barrier because of financial difficulties and my family would not be
able to support me. Juggling work and studies can be daunting but I remained committed to my goals. I took my studies seriously and diligently maintained the required grades for scholar students. I am very dedicated, showing up on time and performing my duties to the best of my abilities. There were times when I felt overwhelmed, tired, or discouraged.

However, I didn’t let those moments define me, instead I pushed through the difficulties knowing that the rewards of a college degree would be worth the effort. I have grown in ways that I never thought possible. I have learned to be resilient, adaptable, and determined. I know that these are all the qualities that will serve me well in my future endeavors. I have proven that overcoming financial challenges and achieving excellence in academics and work is possible.

If there is one lesson I can share with others in a similar situation, it would be to always believe in
yourself, work hard, and never give up on your dreams!
