My name is John Gil Lorenzo D. Ricablanca and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor in English Education at Philippine Normal University-Visayas, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. College life is indeed hard, especially if home is out of reach, being independent or trying to be independent is a must. It is not only about school that you are stressing out, but also survival in the boarding house. The struggles of the chores, the new environment, unfamiliar faces, and especially the budgeting. Good things don’t come easy. That’s why, if college life is hard, I’ll fight harder in order for my dreams to come true.
My main concern in my schooling is the finances. That’s why being part of this wonderful program of the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship, Inc. is a great privilege. My discovery of this program is indeed a blessing in disguise, because as I embark on my higher years of college life, the expenses are also skyrocketing. This will deeply help me with my school fees, rent, bills, and food. This will lighten up the burden from my brother who has been supporting me in my studies, as he also has his own family to support. This will ease my worries about my financial struggles and now I can focus more on my academic journey.
I give my utmost gratitude to the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship, Inc., for making the remaining years of my college life bearable. Words are not enough to thank the people behind this scholarship for their outstanding effort in building such a program that will indeed help a lot of people in the present and future.
