Pushing Forward: How a Scholarship Changed My College Journey

Oct 22, 2025 | Scholar Student, Scholarship

Hi, I’m Edgar Bryan L. Aguado, a junior student taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Negros Oriental State University, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. Philippines.

College has been full of challenges, lessons and great experiences. Now that I’m in my third year, things are getting more exciting but also more demanding with harder subjects, projects and preparing for life after graduation.

Recently, I was blessed to be accepted as a scholar of the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship Inc. This opportunity means so much to me, not just because it helps with the financial burden of college, but also because it inspires me to push harder and stay focused on my goals. I know the road ahead won’t always be easy, but with hard work, determination and support from programs like this scholarship, I believe I can make it through and achieve my dreams!

Of course, I wouldn’t have been given this opportunity without the help of some amazing people. A huge thank you to Nanay Amay, Tita Elva, Ma’am Virly and Ma’am Cassey. They’re the reason I was accepted into this scholarship and I’m truly grateful for their support and guidance.

I am deeply grateful to the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship Inc. for believing in me and supporting my academic journey. With this opportunity, I am more determined than ever to work hard, stay focused, and make the most of my college years!
