My name is Krishnan V. Mahinay, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at STI West Negros University located in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Going through college was never made to be easy, it’s stressful at times and severely time consuming. However, this has made me realize that with the aim of succeeding we must be proficient not just with our time management but also in what we focus on.

As a scholar, we need to use our excess time on skill-building activities. Personally, that is to read books daily, exercise, and have a planned-out day to be efficient. In order to capitalize on what’s flourishing at the moment we need to widen our area of insight when it comes to tech, AI specifically has made some student work relatively easier because of the broad utilities you can use.

Financial difficulties often lead to a rollercoaster-like experience filled with highs and lows, as well as numerous challenges to overcome. It has been an honor to be part of the Rudy and Fe Romanillos Scholarship which allowed me to focus on my studies and pursue opportunities for academic enrichment and personal growth without worrying for my school’s financial matter that I wouldn’t have been that able to otherwise.

I’m truly grateful for having this scholarship and I will be forever thankful for its impact
on my life as a student. It’s been a superb journey thus far, filled with countless moments of growth, learning, and discovery. As I reflect on the path I’m currently travelling, I find myself amazed by the progress made and the challenges I overcame. However, it is important to recognize that the journey is far from over and the road ahead holds even greater promise and excitement!
